<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Our country is facing a new attack which has caused a lot of problems for all of us. The entire country was shut down to mitigate
the spread of the virus so the healthcare system would not be overwhelmed. Our family and our country faced difficult problems before and we will overcome this one as well
<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">We held a board meeting on Memorial Day weekend and discussed the annual family reunion. We still have it scheduled for the first
week in August but we have to wait for out governor to approve of large gatherings in New York State. The board also decided to not hold the profitable ice cream social and luncheon because we want to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and we are concerned
for the health of our family. The board will meet again in the beginning of July to finalize the reunion or decide to postpone it. Before the board meets in July, we are looking for input from the entire family about holding our reunion this year or postponing
it to next year. If we do hold the reunion, we would only hold a church service outside and spread out the chairs for the service. We could also have a walking tour of our cemetery speaking about our ancestors and set up tours of other local cemeteries and
family sites<u></u><u></u></span></p>

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Our carpenter, who is on the board, in planning on constructing a handicap ramp and repair the lights in the stain glass windows at the front of the church.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Painting of the church is still in process. The painter is planning to complete the scraping and painting of the front wall this year. After the exterior painting is complete,
we will start looking at bids for painting the interior.<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="m_6081578528230564024MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:106%">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:106%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">When the painter starts working on the steeple, we will need a lift for him to reach the top on the steeple. While we have the lift for the work on the steeple, we will also
replace the bulbs in the steeple. The bulbs are eight car head lights in two separate levels on the steeple.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:106%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The fence in the lower cemetery needs some fixing, some trees have fallen along the edge of the lower cemetery and in the upper cemetery, and poison ivy is starting to grow
in various places. I remember when I was a child I was not allowed to walk around the cemetery because it was full of poison ivy and it seems it is still there.<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="m_6081578528230564024MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;text-align:justify;line-height:106%">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:106%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Repair the inside walls of the church because some of the plaster cracked when the building frame was repaired<u></u><u></u></span></li></ul>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">During the winter, I worked on the address list and scanned old photos and documents and created an archival scrap book. I also
have been going through old notes and noticed the documents and pictures are fading. We need to preserve these documents so our younger generations can truly understand our family history. Most of these items are family genealogy that we received from various
family members and notes from Emma Timmerman and Carolyn Sidenius. I also have been reviewing the booklet consisting of newspaper notes on various people living in the town of Manheim (written by Carolyn Sidenius and Mary Snell). The documents contain information
on the Snells living in town of Manheim and others that have a connection to the Snells.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">I received an interesting e-mail from Mr. Hicks, the new superintendent of the North African American Cemetery located in Carthage,
Tunisia. He wanted to let the SZT family know that Lyman Stephen Timmerman is no longer buried in Tehran, Iran and is now buried in a US military cemetery in Tunisia.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Lyman Stephen was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Timmerman (cousin to Emma Timmerman). He was born in Little Falls New York on
February 5, 1896 and died on May 5, 1944 in Iran from heart complications. He was buried with military honors both in US military cemetery in Iran and Tunisia. During World War One, he served as an US Army Air Force pilot stationed in the Middle East. When
he returned home from the war, he married Katherine Walrath (from Long Island) in November 15, 1920 and worked with the Bureau of Municipal Research in New York City.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">He was asked by the US State Department and Iranian government to work as administrator to organize police system in large cities
in Iran. He began work there in 1942 and had been noted as an outstanding authority on the establishment of law enforcement agencies.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Nancy Cioch received a phone call a few years ago about letters found at a house sale in California. They were letters that Stephen
wrote to a friend in Texas during World War One.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Though out the years, the SZT family members have done many interesting things that have improved America. These stories are
outstanding, such as living on the frontier, looking for gold in California, medical doctor on the frontier, defending their homes from hostile Colonial Powers and Indians, homesteading in Canada or Mexico and exploring the plains of our country.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Kevin Jorrey, our web master would like family stories to put on the web. We need to put new items on the web—photos as always
nice to send to Kevin. Please also send any updates on the genealogy of your family. The only the name is published to the web—no other information.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Please contact us either by email or snail mail with any updates and stories that we can share with the family (births, marriages , and deaths). If you
updated your mailing address or e-mail address please also let us know. We will also need to additional donations for this this year because we will not have our profitable ice cream social.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">It takes a lot of time and funds to keep our Snells Bush Church in order and funds are always needed. Currently, the only way
that we receive funds is from donations from our family members and the ice cream social. There are two ways that you can donate to our church to keep the reunion going every year. The first is by sending in donations and the second is to volunteer for a
position or run a fund raising event. We are always looking for new types of fund raisers we are looking at our younger family members to organize and run the event.
<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">As usual we have genealogy books available they hold a lot of information on the early families that lived and worked and attended
Snells Bush Church those many years ago. The stories are wonderful in these books and every member needs to have copies of these genealogy books. Tell your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren about these stories. This is your heritage be proud
of it. Also we need updates on your family history—who died—who got married—and who is the new arrival in your immediate family. It is important to keep this information up to date.

County. He was twice married - to Catherine Fox and then to Margaret Bellinger. He had 19 children - 7 boys and 12 girls - of whom 15 were living at the time of his death. His numerous descendants are found throughout the Mohawk Valley, New York state, and
